Position Title: Marketing & Social Media Specialist
Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
Schedule:Hybrid: 2 days in office (Mon & Wed) and WFH on Tues/Thur/Fri
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (1-Hour for Lunch)
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000

Overview & Responsibilities

O2 Digital Creative Agency is a marketing-first website and hosting agency. Every site we build has SEO baked in from day one, and we fully run email marketing, paid media and social media for our clients.

We're hiring a Marketing & Social Media Specialist to work hand in hand with our Head of Marketing. You'll keep client marketing running across social, email and design, and play a key role in building out and growing our social media services. Expect real ownership, a front-row seat in strategy conversations and plenty of room to shape how we do things.

A heads-up on timing: this role starts in January 2027. We're posting it early because finding the right person matters more to us than filling the seat fast. We'll take the next few months to get to know candidates without rushing anyone, you or us.

What you'll do

Social media (our core focus)

  • Create social posts end to end: concept, design, captions and scheduling.
  • Design carousels and shoot and edit short-form reels and videos. Pitch and test new formats, platforms and ideas, including ones we haven’t tried yet. (Ideas that push boundaries are welcomed and encouraged)
  • Help build and refine how we deliver social media services as we bring on new social clients.
  • Build content calendars and social pillars, and lead content brainstorms with the team across multiple clients.
  • Use what performs, and why, to shape strategy and what we post next.
  • Track weekly social performance and turn it into monthly client reports that show what's working.
  • Manage multiple clients and deadlines, flagging conflicts early.
  • Keep client assets, copy and approvals moving so work doesn't stall.

Email marketing

  • Design client emails and newsletters from provided brand assets.
  • Build, test and schedule campaigns across multiple clients, primarily in Klaviyo.
  • Upload and manage contact lists.
  • Support basic platform troubleshooting and client questions, with backup from our dev team.

Graphic design

  • Design ad hoc projects such as posters, merch, one-pagers and presentation decks.

About you

You'd rather build the wheel than wait for someone to hand you one. When something doesn't have a process yet, you see an opportunity, not a problem. (Okay… maybe a small problem. But a fun one.)

  • You're energized by building something new, and you know the difference between moving fast and burning out. (So do we… promise.)
  • You have opinions about fonts, hooks and whether that trend is already over… and you're usually right.
  • You take things a layer deeper than just what is trending- you are curious about the psychology behind the trend, not just the trend itself.
  • A loose brief excites you. You'll come back with three ideas and a strong opinion about which one's best.
  • You take the work seriously, not yourself. Sarcasm is welcome here. :)
  • You want a role that grows as fast as you do.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of experience in social media, content or marketing, ideally at an agency or across multiple brands.
  • A portfolio showing social carousels, reels or short-form video, and design work.
  • Strong social instincts: you know what drives engagement, can explain why, and want to go deeper on strategy.
  • Sharp, on-brand caption writing.
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, plus a video editing tool (CapCut, Premiere or similar).
  • Experience building and sending email campaigns in any major platform.
  • Comfort with metrics: tracking performance and turning numbers into takeaways.
  • Highly organized, with sharp attention to detail.
  • Self-starter energy: you see what needs to happen, take initiative and keep people in the loop along the way.
  • Comfort building processes from scratch, not just following existing ones.

Bonus points

  • Klaviyo experience, especially flows and user journeys, list management and segmentation.
  • Agency experience managing several client accounts at once.
  • Branding, print and merch design.
  • Familiarity with WordPress or Elementor.
  • Community management experience.

Why join us at O2?

  • Help build and grow O2's social media services, with a real voice in how they take shape.
  • Work directly with the Head of Marketing on client strategy, not just execution.
  • Variety: social, email, design and reporting across clients in nonprofit, fashion, aviation, building products, travel and more.
  • A team that actually likes each other (walk breaks, team lunches and happy hours included).
  • We're flexible. Life happens, and mental health days are encouraged, no explanation required.
  • If your plate gets too full, say so and we'll fix it together. Logging off is part of doing great work, not a reward for it.

Benefits

  • Hybrid environment: in office Mondays and Wednesdays in Hopewell, home the rest of the week.
  • Technology: O2 will provide the computer equipment you need for the role.
  • Health and dental: generous employer-paid percentage on medical and dental plans.
  • Retirement: 2% non-elective employer contribution after 1 year, no employee match required.
  • Time off: 3 weeks of PTO plus 12 paid holidays.

How to apply

  1. Submit your application.
  2. When applying, include your resume as well as links to social accounts you've managed and/or posts you've created.
  3. Pick a recent post or trend that took off and tell us why you think people actually cared about it?

Interview finalists will complete a short test project.
